Job Summary:

We are currently seeking applications for a highly motivated, organized individual to join our Construction Management team as a Project Engineer. The selected individual will report directly to their assigned Project Manager and be under the general supervision of the Field Operations Manager.

The overall goal of this position is to offer support to the Project Manager for the sake of successful planning, coordination, and execution of construction tasks on various job sites. There will also be the opportunity to be crossed trained in GPS systems, estimating, modeling/take-offs, or other niche positions to our company. The Office Engineer will be expected to work closely with internal management, field supervisors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with DPE Construction’s quality standards.

This is an entry level position in the construction management field and is open for full-time employment within Yuma County.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, track, and review submittals, RFIs (Request for Information), change orders, shop drawings, and other project documents.
• Attend and participate in project meetings with both internal and external personnel.
• Assist in cost management by coding invoices and monitoring overall budget of projects.
• Assist the Project Manager in monitoring and preparing schedules for various projects.
• Ensure that the management and field team both have the latest set of construction drawings and documents.
• Support safety initiatives and help enforce compliance with DPE Construction’s safety program.
• Perform basic estimating take offs and plan calculations.
• Perform take down and set up of Trimble GPS systems.
• All other duties not explicated stated above that aid in the successful competition of the construction project.

Requirements:

• This is an entry level positions, we are willing to train the RIGHT person who is eager and willing to learn.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is a must for this position.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment as a team player.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Willing to work long, varying hours in extreme weather conditions (i.e. excessive heat).
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Summary:

The Concrete Finisher places, levels, smooths, and finishes concrete surfaces to specified grade and quality standards.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Spread, level, and smooth freshly poured concrete
• Use hand and power tools such as trowels, floats, screeds, and edgers
• Apply surface finishes (broom, smooth, stamped, or textured)
• Check concrete depth and alignment to ensure proper grade and slope
• Cut control joints and edges
• Repair surface defects and finish imperfections
• Cure and protect concrete surfaces
• Coordinate with laborers and form setters
• Follow safety and quality standards

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of concrete finishing techniques
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Understanding of grade, slope, and surface tolerances
• Ability to work efficiently under time constraints

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a concrete finisher preferred
• Ability to work long hours and in hot or cold conditions
• Physical ability to kneel, bend, and stand for long period

Job Summary:

The Heavy Equipment Operator operates one or more types of construction equipment used in asphalt paving, grading, excavation, and site preparation

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment such as rollers, graders, loaders, excavators, pavers, skid steers, or dozers
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
• Safely maneuver equipment around personnel and obstacles
• Load, move, and grade materials according to project specifications
• Maintain proper grade, slope, and compaction
• Communicate with foremen and ground crew to coordinate work
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Keep equipment clean and report mechanical issues

Skills & Abilities:

• Proficiency in operating heavy construction equipment
• Understanding of grade, slope, and compaction requirements
• Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
• Strong safety awareness

Requirements:

• Prior heavy equipment operating experience
• Certification or training preferred ?

Job Summary:

The CDL Driver operates commercial trucks to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites in a safe and timely manner.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Safely operate dump trucks, flatbeds, lowboys, or other commercial vehicles
• Transport materials, equipment, and supplies to job sites
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Secure loads and ensure proper weight distribution
• Maintain accurate delivery and trip records
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies
• Communicate with dispatch, foremen, and supervisors
• Keep truck clean and report mechanical issues

Skills & Abilities:

• Safe and defensive driving skills
• Knowledge of DOT regulations
• Good time management and communication skills
• Ability to operate various types of trucks

Requirements:

• Valid CDL (Class A or B depending on equipment)
• Clean driving record preferred
• Construction or hauling experience preferred
